Black Landscape Contracting is dedicated to providing quality landscape services, maintenance, renovations, award-winning hardscape installations, new lawn installations, custom tree and lawn programs and snow removal for the past three decades to the East and West shores.

Black Landscape is also proud to be in our 13th year of offering landscape materials from our Landscape Center; great for the "do-it-yourself" folks who want to start their own projects, stock up on the perfect seasonal items, find just the right plant/ tree/ water feature and more!

 A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT: 

"This year marked our 30th year of business for myself and Black Landscape Contracting, Inc. This great journey first started in February of 1992 and we have been blessed with some of the best employees and clients over the last three decades. Even more notably, we still have a handful of employees and clients that have been with our company from the start.  As owner of this company, it has always been very rewarding to travel around the region, because I am hard-pressed to find an area or development that Black Landscape has not done work in, or had some impact in the beautification of. 

 

Some of our more notable achievements include; completing hundreds of award-winning hardscape and landscape jobs, renovating the PA Governor’s Residence landscape gardens under the Gov. Ridge administration, installing new landscape plantings at the Pennsylvania State Capitol, winning Harrisburg Magazines’ award for “Simply the Best – Landscaper” in their annual Readers’ Choice poll for 16 straight years, maintaining the Harrisburg Senators ball field for nearly 20 years, and the creation of Black Landscape Center in 2009. 

 

Thirty years of both running and owning this business seemed like the best time to retire from the landscape world and begin to pursue other personal interests.  Black Landscape as a company will continue to stay in the same location, servicing the same business and working with the same vendors, all under the new ownership of Joshua Decker. I look forward to seeing what his plans are for this company and hope you will continue to show him the wonderful support you have shown to me.
